1st Place For Photography In Nova Scotia 2024.

In 2024, I chose to compete in the Skills Nova Scotia Provincial Competition for photography. I was nervous to compete because I was a beginner with little to no experience. I dedicated plenty of time towards practicing photography and ended up placing 1st. This accomplishment gave me the opportunity to represent Nova Scotia at the Skills Canada National Competition in Quebec. The experience not only tested my abilities, but also taught me a great deal about the photography industry and how I want to make an impact within the industry.

In 2025, I decided to return to the Skills Nova Scotia Provincial Competition for photography. I was more confident in my skills and had over a year of experience. I placed first in provincials, and was ready to represent Nova Scotia at the Skills Canada National Competition in Regina, Saskatchewan. At Nationals, I was awarded second place for Photography in Canada. The judges were incredible to work with and offered valuable feedback. The entire experience was an amazing opportunity that helped me perfect my technicial creative abilities as a photographer.
